Power Washing & House Washing

Power Washing & House Washing for Connecticut Shoreline Homes

Salt air, humidity, tree cover, and wet Connecticut winters create ideal conditions for mold, mildew, and algae on almost every outdoor surface. Left alone, this growth gets into painted surfaces, degrades siding, and accelerates rot. I’ve seen it on hundreds of Shoreline properties over 35 years.

Every soap and chemical I use is biodegradable. I live on the Connecticut Shoreline too. I’m not going to put harmful runoff into the waterways or leave residue in someone’s garden. That’s been my standard since I started this company.

What We Clean

What We Clean

House Washing

Full exterior wash removes mold, mildew, algae, salt residue, and grime from all siding types. Annual house washing also extends the life of your exterior paint significantly. I include it in the prep for every exterior painting project. Paint won’t bond to a dirty or salt-coated surface.

Deck & Patio Cleaning

Wood and composite decks collect mold and organic growth that makes surfaces slippery and breaks down the material over time. I clean decks back to the surface and can follow up with stain or sealant to protect them going into the next season.

Driveway & Walkway Cleaning

Concrete and paver surfaces collect oil stains, algae, and surface growth, especially in shaded areas. Power washing restores the look and removes the slippery buildup.

Boat Cleaning

I also clean boats. Marine growth and salt accumulation on the CT Shoreline is relentless. Give me a call with the details (size, material, what you’re dealing with) and I’ll tell you what I can do.

Sundecks & Patios

Same care and biodegradable products as standard deck cleaning. We can follow up with staining or sealing if you want to protect the surface for the season ahead.

FAQ

Common Questions

How often should I have my house washed?

Once a year is right for most Connecticut Shoreline homes. Close to the water or under heavy tree cover? Twice a year keeps things from getting established. Regular washing is also the best way to extend the life of your exterior paint.

What’s the difference between power washing and soft washing?

Power washing uses high pressure to remove surface dirt. Soft washing uses lower pressure with a cleaning solution that kills mold and algae at the root. I use soft wash on roofs, painted siding, and delicate surfaces; higher pressure for concrete and brick.

Will power washing damage my siding?

Not if it’s done correctly. I’ve seen plenty of damage caused by too much pressure on the wrong surface. With 35+ years of experience, I know exactly what each surface can handle.

Should I power wash before painting?

Always. I include it in the prep for every exterior painting project. No exceptions.

Do you clean boats?

Yes. Give me a call and describe what you’re working with and I’ll tell you what I can do and give you a price.
