Serving the CT Shoreline & Middlesex County Since 1988

Where I Work.

I have spent 35+ years working on homes from the Connecticut River valley inland to the houses right on Long Island Sound. The conditions change as the geography changes, and the work changes with it.

Below are the towns I cover. If you do not see your town listed, give me a call. The list is not exhaustive.

On the Shoreline

  • Old Saybrook

At the mouth of the Connecticut River. Salt spray and wind mean prep matters more here than almost anywhere else.

  • Westbrook

Coastal town. Cedar shake and clapboard take a beating from the salt air.

  • Clinton

Mix of waterfront and inland neighborhoods, with different exposure depending on which side of Route 1 you are on.

  • Madison

Older shoreline homes, plenty of wood trim, plenty of houses near the water.

  • Guilford

Historic district. Careful color matching and traditional finishes.

  • Old Lyme

River mouth and shore. Salt air on one side, humidity on the other.

  • East Lyme

Ranch homes, capes, vinyl and fiber cement siding. Same prep standard, different surfaces.

Connecticut River Valley

  • Essex

Marine town through and through, with older inventory in the village.

  • Centerbrook

Village of Essex. Older trim and wood siding, often shaded by mature trees.

  • Ivoryton

Village of Essex. Quiet streets, treed lots, plenty of cedar shake.

  • Deep River

River-valley humidity. Algae and mold get established on shaded north-facing siding fast.

  • Winthrop

    Village of Deep River.

  • Chester

Wooded, hilly, plenty of older homes that need careful prep.

  • Haddam

River valley inland from the shore. I sponsor the Haddam-Killingworth Youth Football League here.

  • East Haddam

Historic homes, old paint over old paint. The prep determines how long the new coat lasts.

Inland & Middlesex County

  • Killingworth

Where the company is based. I sponsor the Killingworth Youth Baseball League and the Haddam-Killingworth Youth Football League.

  • Durham

Inland town. Less salt, plenty of tree cover and humidity.

  • Middletown

Largest town in the area, with a mix of older homes and newer construction.
